WHO IS JESUS?
God made us to know him.
To live in real relationship with him and with each other in a world that bore his fingerprints, full of beauty, order, justice, and love. But we turned away. We chose to live on our own terms, and that decision broke everything; our connection to God and our relationships with each other. None of us could put it back together. The damage runs deep.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” - Genesis 1:27
God sent his Son.
Jesus stepped into his own creation, took on flesh, and lived life as God intended. He was betrayed, died on a cross, and took upon himself the punishment that our rebellion had earned. God placed our sin on Jesus and gave us his clean record in return. Three days later, God raised him from the dead, proving his love for us and that Jesus really is who he claimed to be.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8
Jesus offers new Life.
Jesus is alive right now, reigning as King, and he is calling every person to turn and trust in him. When you do, God forgives you completely, brings you into his family, and gives you a life that death cannot end.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
“if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
